North China Oilfield Science and Technology Exhibition Hall

The North China Oilfield Science and Technology Exhibition Hall was formerly known as the North China Oilfield Geological Exhibition Hall. It was planned in October 1981 and began its preview exhibition on July 1, 1983. After three renovation projects of varying scales in 1989, 1994, and 1995, it initially took shape as a petroleum geological science and technology exhibition hall with considerable scale, notable social impact, and widespread popularity among visitors.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the exploration, development, and construction of the North China Oilfield, the company rebuilt the original geological exhibition hall. From project approval in March 2005 to completion in October 2006, relevant departments and organizations meticulously planned, coordinated, and scientifically designed and constructed the new exhibition hall, which now presents a refreshing new look. The new science and technology exhibition hall differs significantly from the original geological exhibition hall in terms of design concept, exhibition content, and exhibition space size.

The new hall covers an area of 1,424 square meters and features five specialized exhibition rooms: the foyer, popular science, exploration, development, and refining. It integrates scientific, educational, artistic, entertaining, and interactive elements, making full use of modern audio, visual, and lighting technologies, as well as graphic light boards, models, sand tables, touch computers, 3D imaging systems, sculptures and murals, simulated ancient environments, virtual reality technology, and real-time audience interaction. It not only reflects the development journey of the people of North China Oilfield—marked by “hard work and dedication to energy”—but also serves as a platform showcasing the exploration, development technologies, and achievements of the oilfield over the past 30 years. It functions as both a base for patriotic education and corporate spirit cultivation for cadres, employees, and school students, and as an ideal venue for science education and the dissemination of petroleum geological knowledge, complementing the Renqiu Geopark. As a calling card of the North China Oilfield, the hall will serve as a window for all sectors of society and oilfield employees to learn about and promote the North China Oilfield.
