Feicheng Kangwanghe Water Conservancy Scenic Area

The Feicheng Kangwanghe Water Conservancy Scenic Area is recognized as a National Water Conservancy Scenic Area and a National Wetland Park.

The Feicheng Kangwanghe Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Feicheng city proper, at the confluence of the Kangwanghe River and the Longshanhe River. It covers a planned area of 168 hectares, including 110 hectares of green ecological space and 58 hectares of water area. The area is primarily developed along one axis, one line, two belts, and four zones.

Kangwanghe Park is situated at the geometric center of the new urban planning and construction cycle from 2005 to 2020, organically connecting the city proper with the high-tech development zone and driving development in the western part of the city. By establishing multi-level water retention systems that form oxidation ponds and planting aquatic vegetation, the park not only increases groundwater recharge but also further improves water quality.

Main Attractions

The park centers around the Kangwanghe and Longshanhe rivers, where their convergence highlights

the unique charm of its “water” scenery, appearing almost naturally formed. With the theme of “Peach Country Charm and Ecological Impression,” the park emphasizes waterscape and cultural elements in its design, achieving a fusion of garden features with wetland ecology, and integrating human landscapes with natural scenery. The “Four Major Scenic Areas” each showcase their distinct characteristics through unique landscape presentation techniques. The Wetland Nature Reserve Area prominently displays the rich biodiversity of the wetlands.

Diverse Ecological Landscapes

The scenic area offers relatively tranquil surroundings, with rivers and islands interconnected, creating a unique habitat for various bird species.

The Exhibition Center Area serves three main functions: sightseeing and exhibitions, eco-tourism, and environmental education. The Aquatic World Area forms part of the Kangwanghe riverside green space, continuing the distinctive features of the wetland while also developing new landscape elements. The Lotus Field Fun Area emphasizes the scenery of ecological forests and suburban parks. This area reflects wetland landscapes while incorporating the characteristics of urban outskirts, blending ecological displays, returning to nature, and rural charm into one harmonious experience.
