Dongxiang North Pavilion

Dongxiang North Pavilion is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

Dongxiang North Pavilion is located in Bianyuan Town, Feicheng City, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties.

On June 23, 2015, Dongxiang North Pavilion was designated as part of the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People’s Government of Shandong Province.

Bianyuan Town: Bianyuan Town is situated in the southern part of Feicheng, a treasured land in central Shandong, covering a total area of 120 square kilometers. It administers 80 administrative villages with a population of 84,000 and 100,000 mu of arable land. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of Tai’an Directly-administered Prefecture. In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Tai’an County under Jinan City. In the early years of the Republic of China, it was part of Mingzhen District, Tai’an County. In June 1949, it was placed under Feicheng County. In September 1958, the Bianyuan People’s Commune was established. In November 1985, the district was abolished and the township was re-established, divided into Bianyuan Town and Guocun Township. In January 1996, Guocun Township was upgraded to a town. In February 2001, Guocun Town was dissolved and merged into Bianyuan Town.
