The ruins of the ancient city wall of Gaotang date back to the Northern Wei Dynasty and are located within the city of Gaotang (on the eastern shore of Northeast Lake).
In May 2008, the ruins of the ancient city wall of Gaotang were designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.
