The ruins of Qingping County Town are a cultural heritage protection site of Gaotang County.

The ruins of Qingping County Town date back to the Song Dynasty and are located in Qingping Village, Qingping Town, Gaotang.

In May 2008, the ruins of Qingping County Town were designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection site.

Qingping Town: Located in the southwest of Gaotang County, Qingping Town borders Provincial Road 009 to the east, connects to the Gaolin Highway to the north, extends to Linqing to the west, and neighbors Chiping to the south. It governs 61 administrative villages, has a population of 41,000, covers an area of 106 square kilometers, and includes 110,000 mu of arable land. The town is home to the largest forest farm in western Shandong, spanning 30,000 mu (currently applying for national forest park status), making it the only central town in the county approved by the provincial government. Additionally, it features the ancient city gate of Qingping from the Northern Song Dynasty and a group of ancient stone carvings at Shimen from the Yuan Dynasty. The Transparent Dragon Wall and the Confucius Temple are both provincial-level cultural relics.
