The Boxer Rebellion Altar Martial Arts Site dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is located in Liuli Temple Village, Liuli Temple Town, Gaotang County.

In May 2008, the Boxer Rebellion Altar Martial Arts Site was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

Liuli Temple Town: Liuli Temple Town is located southeast of Gaotang County, approximately 25 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Chiping County, Qihe County, and Yucheng City, covering a total area of 94.5 square kilometers. The town has 85,023 mu of arable land, administers 7 management areas and 62 administrative villages, with a population of 36,901. The per capita arable land is 2.5 mu. The government office of Liuli Temple Town is situated east of Liuli Temple Village. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the village has continuously served as the seat of the district, commune, township, and town.
