Majiahe Resort

The Majiahe Resort in Liaocheng is situated on the east bank of the Majiahe River, 25 kilometers west of Liaocheng city center. Built in 1972, it was listed as an ecological non-profit forest farm by the Shandong Provincial Forestry Department in 1998. It is a large, feature-rich, and well-equipped regional tourism and recreation area that combines forest leisure, water entertainment, conference vacations, and science education, with a distinctive charm of a riverside water town in northern China.

Centered around eco-tourism themes such as "visiting forest bathing areas, breathing fresh air, staying in wooden villas, and eating green food," the Majiahe Resort integrates dining, accommodation, sightseeing, entertainment, and shopping. It is the largest plain forest attraction in western Shandong. The resort currently features European-style wooden villas scattered across dense woods. For dining, there is a waterside restaurant specializing in "green food" and a uniquely styled Mongolian yurt restaurant. Additionally, the resort’s newly developed oxygen bar forest and fishing center offer a one-of-a-kind experience, allowing you to enjoy the pastoral scenery in tranquility. Entertainment facilities such as a children’s playground, warrior park, archery range, swings, cable cars, mazes, and a lotus pond ensure fun and excitement for all visitors.

The Majiahe Forest Tourism Resort is a national AA-level tourist attraction and was named one of "Shandong Province's Top Ten Most Competitive Scenic Areas" in 2006.
