The Inscription of the Five Saints Hall dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is located in Houtun, Anle Town, Yanggu.

On July 3, 2000, the Inscription of the Five Saints Hall was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

Anle Town: Anle Town is an administrative town under the jurisdiction of Yanggu County. It is located in the northeastern part of the county seat. Originally named Laojuntang, it was renamed Anlecun (Village of Peace and Happiness) during the Later Zhou Dynasty of the Five Dynasties period when Emperor Chai Rong recuperated here. In the Song Dynasty, it was established as Anle Town and has retained that name to this day. During the Ming Dynasty, the Yanggu County magistrate set up office here. In 1934, the 0 Yanggu County Committee was established here, and in 1947, Xuyi County was formed with its government seated in Anle Town. In 1949, Xuyi County was abolished. In 1958, the Anle Town People’s Commune was founded. In 1984, it was restructured as Anle Town, which remains the current designation.
