Baliwan Ethnic Culture Park, located in the Baliwan Scenic Area of the ancient commercial city Caoxian, covers an area of 180 mu and has an investment of 80 million yuan. The town’s construction was planned and designed by the provincial tourism bureau. It lies east of the Hundred Fruit Garden, west of the Hundred Flower Garden, south of the South Ring Road, and north of a shimmering lake dotted with islands, fully reflecting Caoxian’s rich diversity of folk customs and ethnic cultures. The project includes 24 villages with distinct architectural styles and offers 100 standard guest rooms. Facilities such as the Rural Memory Museum, Wellness Center, Show Bar, Horse Racing Field, and Water Amusement have already opened to the public. Additionally, a large-scale auto camping base, green ecological picking garden, and rural tourism training center are all in normal operation. Especially notable are the multi-functional main stage and themed wedding hotel, which began operations in October 2014 and have since welcomed 400,000 visitors from all over. The town has now become a model site for boosting rural tourism. Its continuous development and improvement will gradually establish it as the premier destination for rural tourism in Caoxian, Heze, southwestern Shandong, and surrounding areas.
