Shizhong Park

Shizhong Park is located in the core scenic area of Taishan. It is a grand, harmonious, uniquely distinctive, and high-quality ecological park. The park was designed by the Shanghai Landscape Architecture Design Institute, covering a total area of 150 acres. The park boasts three main features: first, the entrance stone comes from the Taihang Mountains and weighs 180 tons; secondly, it features a handcrafted scroll of "Record of Shizhong Mountain" made entirely of pure copper, measuring 56 meters in length and 3.5 meters in width, using 15 tons of copper, with calligraphy in the hand of Weng Fanggang, teacher of Emperor Qianlong; thirdly, the park has planted over 1,000 large trees, including one thousand-year-old camphor tree. At the same time, the park employs ecological landscaping techniques to thoughtfully arrange the road system, landscape pavilions, corridor frames, and fitness equipment, providing urban residents with spaces for leisure and recreation, maximizing the functionality of the ecological green space. The park broke ground in April 2009 and was fully completed and put into use in early 2012.
