Hukou County Taishan Park
The new urban area of Hukou County’s Taishan Park officially opened to the public on May 1. Designed by Peking University’s Turenscape Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning Institute, the park covers a total area of about 360 acres, with a green coverage rate of 87%. The park highlights eight major scenic spots: Frosty Grass and Cold Woods, Pavilion Overlooking in Memory of Su, Stone Steps Evoking Antiquity, Towering Greenery of Taishan, Reed Pond with Wild Geese Alighting, Echoing Stones and Clear Springs, Flower Fields on Terraced Fields, and Boating Among Sailboats. The park entrance is adjacent to Taishan Avenue, with parking lots nearby. The completion of the park provides residents of Hukou with a great place for hiking, fitness, leisure, entertainment, and getting close to nature.
