Huaisu Pavilion

Built in memory of Su Shi, it was originally located twelve meters southeast of the Lakeside Pagoda but was destroyed early on. It was rebuilt in 1959 and relocated to the front of the Gann Garden south of the mountain, then renovated again in 1972. A stone stele stands inside the pavilion: the front bears an image of Su Wengong (Su Shi) and an explanation of his three visits to Hukou, while the back features a rubbing of the calligraphy of Su Shi’s “Record of Stone Bell Mountain” handwritten by the Qing Dynasty calligrapher Weng Fanggang. …
