Under the leadership of Fang Zhimin, the Min-Zhe (Wan)-Gan Soviet Area achieved brilliant results in politics, economy, military affairs, culture, and legal system construction. In January 1934, it was awarded the title of "Model Soviet Province" by the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic, making it the only Soviet Area among the six major bases in China at that time to receive this honor.
