Dashan Reservoir is located in Meigang Township in the southern part of Yugan County. It is a medium-sized reservoir primarily used for irrigation, while also serving functions such as fish farming, power generation, and flood control. The total water storage capacity is 19.5 million m³, with a perennial aquaculture area of 2,010 mu. The reservoir covers an area of 39.1 km², and National Highway 206 runs across the reservoir area. Both the Liwen Expressway and the soon-to-be-constructed Jingying Expressway are nearby, and it is over 40 kilometers from Yingtan Railway Station, a major transportation hub in East China.
