The Tomb (Temple) of Lian Po is a cultural tourism attraction.

The tomb of Lian Po, a renowned statesman of the Warring States period, is located in Qiang Village, Nancheng Township, about 15 kilometers northwest of the county seat. During the era of the Seven Warring States, Lian Po of the State of Zhao earned great merit for the nation by “returning the Jade intact to Zhao,” earning him the title of Senior Minister, ranking above the famous general Lian Po. Lian Po was dissatisfied and always tried to embarrass him when they met. Lian Po, always putting the greater good first, would take the initiative to step aside into a lane and let Lian Po pass when they happened to cross paths. Later, Lian Po came to understand Lian Po’s magnanimity and was deeply moved. He then “went to apologize carrying a bramble on his back,” and from then on, the “General and the Minister reconciled.” The historical allusion “Harmony Between the General and the Minister” was later adapted into a play and widely spread among the people. Lian Po’s cultural values of broad-mindedness, kindness, tolerance, and dedication to the greater good hold significant educational meaning for building a harmonious society today.
