Peaches Scenic Area

The Peaches Mirroring Emeralds Scenic Area is located in the central-western part of the scenic zone, covering an area of approximately 1.88 square kilometers. It features stream scenery as its main highlight, with peculiar caves and exotic rocks, offering abundant and concentrated landscape resources. Major attractions include: Welcome Pavilion, Immortal View Ridge, Puguang Temple, Immortal Palm Spring, Peach Stream, Peach Rock, Golden Toad Pilgrimage, Peach Cave, Horse Head Rock, Elephant Trunk Rock, Jade Screen Cave, South Heaven Gate, Ruins of the Three Cao Courtyard, and White Horse Palace.

The Peach Scenic Area, also known as Fairy Spring Spraying Snow, is situated on both sides of Peach Stream in the central part of East Lion Mountain, characterized by peculiar caves and exotic rocks. The clear waters of Peach Stream flow gently, while Peach Cave and Jade Screen Cave are deep and cool, often shrouded in a light mist, lending an air of mystery. Peach Rock, Golden Toad Pilgrimage (also called Golden Toad Playing with the Pearl), Horse Head Rock, and Elephant Trunk Rock are strikingly lifelike, eliciting exclamations of admiration. East Lion Mountain is home to many beautiful legends about the Eight Immortals, with Immortal Palm Spring being the most representative.

Legend has it that the Eight Immortals once visited Lion Mountain during a hot summer. Lü Dongbin, one of the immortals, inserted his hand into the rock to fetch water to quench his thirst. Since then, a palm-sized hole has remained in the rock, with spring water gushing out year-round. Hence, it was named “Immortal Palm Spring.” Visitors to this spot always stop to scoop up and drink the cool, sweet “fairy spring” water while admiring the marvelous sight of “Immortal Spring Spraying Snow.”
