Twin Sheep Grassland

Known as a "paradise for health preservation" and a "land of longevity," Zherong County boasts a beautiful ecological environment and abundant tourism resources. The Twin Sheep Grassland is located in Yuanyangtou Village, Dongyuan Township, Zherong County. It features one of the few vast natural grasslands in Fujian Province, spanning tens of thousands of acres, and presents a unique scenic wonder in the Western Taiwan Straits region. Situated 18 kilometers from the county seat and with an average altitude of over 1,000 meters, the grassland covers an area of over 10,000 acres. Once "hidden away like a maiden in her chamber," the Twin Sheep Grassland is actually a rare ecological treasure in southern China and the largest natural grassland in Fujian Province.

The unique geographical environment and high-altitude southern climate have shaped the distinctive natural landscape of the Twin Sheep Grassland. Ascending to the mountaintop, visitors are greeted by undulating mountain ranges that look as if they are covered with a lush green velvet blanket—warm and ethereal. Across this expansive grassy terrain, the blue sky, white clouds, meadows, and farmland complement each other beautifully, while mountains, grass, flowers, and rocks blend harmoniously to form a stunning and picturesque scene.
