Location: Xikou Village, Zha'yang Township, Zherong County

Introduction: Yong'an Bridge is a semi-circular stone arch bridge spanning the Yushan Stream. It has a total length of 36.22 meters, a width of 5.23 meters, a clear span of 23.76 meters, and a height of 11.82 meters. It is one of the largest surviving single-span semi-circular stone arch bridges in East China. Eight stone steles at the north end of the bridge document the funding and construction history of five bridges in Xikou Village’s history: Qing’an, Zishou, Tong’an, Chang’an, and Yong’an. Associated relics include two stone stepping stones and two stone beam-pillar bridges over Fengli Stream to the east of the village.

Protected Area: East to 10 meters upstream of Yong'an Bridge on the Yushan Stream, north to 10 meters upstream of the stone beam-pillar bridge on Fengli Stream, south to 10 meters downstream of the stone beam-pillar bridge on Fengli Stream, as well as within 10 meters on both sides of the two streams where the bridge is located.

In 2009, Xikou Yong'an Bridge was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Xikou Village: Overview of Xikou Village

Administrative Affiliation and Transportation: Xikou Village is located in the eastern part of Zha'yang Township, 26 kilometers from Zherong County and 16 kilometers from the township government seat. To the east, it borders Gaoshan Village, Bailin Town, Fuding City; to the north, it adjoins Changqi Village and Fengli Village, Zha'yang Township; to the west, it borders Shishan Village and Qianlou Village, Zha'yang Township; and to the south, it connects with Hulin Village and Nanguang Village, Panxi Town, Fuding City.

Village and Residents: Xikou Village currently has 114 households and 465 residents, with 200 laborers. It administers two natural villages—Shangyang and Xiayang—and four villager groups.
