Hetang Bridge Canal

Hetang Bridge Canal is a cultural heritage site protected by Gutian County.

Hetang Bridge Canal is situated on the main street at the entrance of Hetang Village, Hetang Town. Constructed in the late 1970s, it was completed through two years of voluntary labor by all the villagers. The structure runs from north to south, with a total length of 118.8 meters, built from 378 flagstones. The bridge surface is 3 meters wide, the interior of the canal is 1 meter wide and 1 meter deep, and the bridge deck stands 21 meters above the ground. The arch span is 33 meters, and the arch height is 7 meters. There are 54 stone railings on both sides of the bridge canal, each measuring 2.2 meters long and 0.97 meters high. The bridge canal is mainly used by local villagers for irrigating farmland, but it also serves as a walkway.
