Yulin Palace

Yulin Palace is a cultural heritage site protected by Gutian County.

Yulin Palace is located about 100 meters northeast of Zouyang Village, Dajia Township, Gutian County. It faces west and covers an area of 336 square meters. The structure consists of a gatehouse, a courtyard, and a main hall, built with a post-and-lintel and mortise-and-tenon wooden frame on an earthen base, topped with a hip-and-gable roof. The main hall features an octagonal caisson ceiling adorned with painted phoenix motifs, and the walls are decorated with murals. At the center of the hall is a finely carved shrine housing the statue of Goddess Linshui Chen Jinggu, which holds significant value for the study of ancient Yuan Dynasty architecture.

According to the "Zouling Annals," it was first built in the 12th year of the Zhizheng era of the Yuan Dynasty (1352 AD) and renovated in the 57th year of the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty (1718 AD). The existing structure dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

It was renovated again in 1985. In February 2012, it was designated as part of the fifth batch of cultural heritage sites protected by Gutian County.
