Jin Siwan Forest Park is situated in the northern suburbs of Sanming, 12 kilometers from the city center and adjacent to the renowned Ruiyun Mountain Scenic Area. Spanning 1,151.7 hectares, the park is divided into five main scenic areas: the Ruiyun Rafting Zone, Leisure Resort Zone, Sightseeing Orchard Zone, Bamboo Viewing Zone, and Rare Birds Breeding Zone.

Jin Siwan is home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna, with over 3,000 species of plants and animals. It boasts nationally protected tree species such as yew, fragrant wood, and white osmanthus. There are also numerous valuable medicinal herbs and wild edible fungi. Wildlife such as macaque monkeys, silver pheasants, and pangolins can often be spotted in the forest. The forest oxygen bar features over 8,000 acres of contiguous evergreen broadleaf forests and numerous waterfalls that generate a high concentration of negative ions—measured at up to 40,000 per cubic centimeter. Negative air ions are known as the “vitamins” or “growth hormones” of the air and are extremely beneficial to health. A 2,000-meter cobblestone fitness trail winds through the forest, offering visitors a place for recreation and exercise. The well-known Ruiyun Rafting, dubbed the “Miraculous Ruiyun Drift,” provides an exciting yet safe experience where you can “enjoy the beauty of clear waters, as if traveling through a painting.” The rafting course stretches 5.5 kilometers and was designated in 1999 by the Provincial Tourism Bureau as one of the three official rafting destinations in Fujian Province.
