Tingzhou Confucius Temple, also known as the Temple of Confucius or Tingzhou Prefectural School, is a Fujian Provincial-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit. It is located at No. 20 Zhaozheng Road, Chengguan, Changting County, Fujian Province, and was built in the third year of the Shaoxing era of the Song Dynasty (1133 AD). It served as an important site for promoting Confucianism in the eight counties under Tingzhou’s jurisdiction. Historically, Tingzhou Confucius Temple had a large architectural complex, including most of the current government office area of Changting County and the entirety of the county People's Congress office building. Currently, it consists of the following structures: the Lingxing Gate, Pan Pond, Arch Bridge, Yi Gate, Side Rooms and Study Halls, Wen Hui Hall, Name Inscription Pavilion, Memorial Halls for Distinguished Officials and Local Sages, the Dacheng Hall, and the Chongxian Shrine.
