The You Family Ancestral Temple at South Gate is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The You Family Ancestral Temple at South Gate is located on Jianshe Street in Tingzhou Town, Changting County. It faces south and consists of a gate tower, a rain courtyard, a main gate, a gate hall, a lower hall, an upper hall, side rooms on both sides, and a row of horizontal rooms on the right, covering a construction area of 907 square meters. The lower hall is five bays wide and six columns deep, featuring a post-and-lintel and through-tenon style beam frame, a gable-and-hip roof, and exquisitely carved spirit tablets. The upper hall is three bays wide and nine columns deep, with a through-tenon style beam frame and a gable-and-hip roof.

Tingzhou Town: Tingzhou Town in Changting County is located in the western part of Fujian Province, on the upper reaches of the Ting River and at the southern end of the Wuyi Mountains. It is the seat of the county government. The town covers an area of 10.6 square kilometers, has nine neighborhood committees, and a population of 62,600. Since the Tang Dynasty, it has been the site of prefectures, counties, routes, and administrative seats, serving as the ancestral land of the Hakka people. It is a long-established city known for its handicrafts and serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of western Fujian.
