Former Residence of Yang Chengwu

The former residence of Yang Chengwu is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The former residence of Yang Chengwu is located in Xiamu Village, Xuancheng Township, Changting County, and consists of the old house at Fengwuxia, the new house built after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and a pond. The old house at Fengwuxia is a traditional Hakka-style mansion covering an area of 306 square meters, while the new house is a hall-and-pavilion style building with an area of 750 square meters. Yang Chengwu (1914–2004) was a senior general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, an alternate member of the 8th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, a full member of the 11th and 12th Central Committees, and Vice Chairman of the 6th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Xiamu Village: Xiamu Village in Xuancheng Township, Changting County, is a well-known revolutionary base area and the hometown of General Yang Chengwu, former Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. It is situated at the junction of southern Xuancheng and Guanzhuang Township, Shanghang County, about 62 kilometers from the county seat.
