By 2000, the mine had fully transitioned to open-pit operations and adopted the high-bench mining method to reduce infrastructure stripping and investment costs, utilizing nearby high-stage, high-capacity waste dumps to enable simultaneous dumping operations across more than 30 benches. Inside the pit, multiple ore pass chutes over 200 meters in height transport ore via drift locomotives or an 1,132-meter-long belt conveyor, significantly reducing ore haulage distances and costs. The entire production site is highly spectacular.
