Tianhou Temple in Lufeng is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Tianhou Temple in Lufeng is located in Fengji Village, Lufeng She Ethnic Township, Shanghang County, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Originally built in the 49th year of the Qianlong reign (1784) during the Qing Dynasty and renovated in the 15th year of the Daoguang reign (1835), it is dedicated to the sea goddess Mazu. The temple faces south and has a total width of 32 meters and a depth of 25 meters, covering an area of approximately 1,200 square meters. Along the central axis are, in sequence, the mountain gate, entrance hall, worship pavilion, and main hall, flanked by side rooms. The main hall is three bays wide and three bays deep, featuring a post-and-lintel wooden structure with a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof. The temple interior boasts a variety of colorful murals and decorative patterns, exquisitely crafted brackets, carved and painted wooden beams, and stone column bases with diverse designs and carvings. In 1926, the first rural Party branch in Shanghang County was established here.

In 2018, Tianhou Temple in Lufeng was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Fengji Village: Fengji Village is located in the southeastern part of Lufeng She Ethnic Township, adjacent to the township market, with the Luzhong Highway running through the entire area, offering highly convenient transportation and communication. The village currently administers 20 villager groups, with 740 households and a population of 3,190, including 2,790 people of She ethnicity, 104 rural Party members, and two elderly activity centers. The village has 1,679 mu of arable land and 22,340 mu of forested land, making it a large administrative village with a sizable population and expansive area. Its main industries include flue-cured tobacco, live pigs, and bamboo, having consistently planted over 1,500 mu of flue-cured tobacco for four consecutive years, with farmers earning substantial cash income from this crop...
