Qiu Fang Dunhou Hall

Qiu Fang Dunhou Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Shanghang County.

Qiu Fang Dunhou Hall is located at No. 12 Guanting Road, Qiu Fang Village, Jiaoyang Town. Built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, it covers an area of 2,240 square meters and features the typical “nine halls and eighteen courtyards” layout. The structure has a boat-shaped floor plan, oriented northeast to southwest, with the outer main gate facing west from the east. It is constructed with a brick-and-wood frame, using a post-and-lintel and raised-beam system, and is adorned with arched gable walls. The front gate tower is exquisitely painted and carved, inlaid with a recessed stone plaque inscribed with “Zhongfeng Raorui” (Auspicious Clouds Circling the Central Peak), and the stone door frame bears a recessed couplet reading: “If no phoenix characters grace our door, we dare not claim the fragrance of orchids within.”

Protected Area: Extending 1 meter east to the west wall of Qiu Tianfu’s residence; 2 meters south to the southern edge of the village road; 1 meter west to the east wall of Qiu Fuchang’s residence; and 10 meters north to the back hill.

Construction Control Zone: Extending 10 meters beyond the protected area.

Qiu Fang Village: Qiu Fang Village in Jiaoyang Town was once the site of the former Jiaoyang Town government. Provincial Highway 308 runs through the village, which is about 500 meters from the Jiaoyang exit of the Jiaocheng Expressway, offering extremely convenient road access. To the southeast it connects with Tangxia Village, to the north lies Qiuzhu Village, and to the west is Sukang Village. The village has over 19,000 mu of forest land and more than 2,000 mu of arable land. Qiu Fang Village consists of two natural villages, 11 villager groups, 536 households, 2,222 residents, and 57 Party members.
