Dadi Tin Hau Temple

Dadi Tin Hau Temple is a cultural heritage site protected by Shanghang County.

Dadi Tin Hau Temple is located on the east side of Zhentou in Dadi Village, Taibai Town, Shanghang County. Originally built during the Ming Dynasty and renovated multiple times, it covers an area of 500 square meters. The temple faces southwest and is built with a wood and earth structure. It features a through-tenon and raised-beam construction, flying eaves with upturned corners, and a gourd-shaped roof. The main hall consists of two levels with an upper and lower chamber and a central courtyard, surrounded by corridors on three sides, with side rooms on both wings. The upper chamber has a depth of three bays, a width of three spans, houses a shrine, and enshrines five statues including that of Mazu. On the right side is the affiliated cultural relic Tongming Palace, built in the fifth year of the Qiandao era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1169).

Construction control zone: Extend 10 meters outward from the protected area.

Taibai Town: Taibai Township is located in the southeastern part of Shanghang County. To the east it borders Hugang Township of Yongding County, to the south it neighbors Hexi Township of Yongding, to the west it connects with Lanxi Town, and to the north it links with Chadi and Xikou. It is 33 kilometers from Shanghang County and 60 kilometers from Longyan.

Taibai Township currently administers 16 administrative villages and 95 natural villages, with a population of 18,936, including over 9,500 working-age adults.
