Yuantian Lingxiao Pavilion is a cultural relic protection unit of Shanghang County.

Yuantian Lingxiao Pavilion is located in Yuantian Village, Taibai Town, dating back to the Qing Dynasty, and is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

The "Lingxiao Pavilion," also known as the "Octagonal Tower," is situated by the Ruxi River at the entrance of Yuantian Village and was built during the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty. It faces northeast and is built in an open-core tower style, with an earth-and-timber structure and a post-and-lintel wooden framework. The seven-story pavilion is octagonal in shape, tapering with each ascending level, and features an octagonal spire with a gourd-shaped finial at the top. The pavilion stands 20.4 meters tall, with the bottom floor having sides 3 meters long. The second floor is surrounded by a corridor with railings. The exterior walls of the pavilion still bear calligraphy and poetry from Qing Dynasty scholars, including verses depicting the four seasonal scenes of Yuantian—spring, summer, autumn, and winter. A wooden staircase inside leads up to the third floor. Each level has wooden-framed windows on all four sides, with round pillars supporting the structure, wooden panels as screens, and bracket sets supporting the overhanging eaves. The pavilion showcases distinctive features of traditional local architecture.

Yuantian Lingxiao Pavilion is the 11th batch of county-level cultural relic protection units of Shanghang County.

Protected area: 25 meters eastward to the eastern bank of the Ruxi River, 35 meters southward to the southern bank of the Ruxi River, 25 meters westward to the village road on the west side, and 22 meters northward to Taibao Temple define the protected area. An additional 10-meter buffer zone extends beyond the protected area as a construction control zone.

Yuantian Village: Yuantian Village is located in the southeast of Taibai Township. The village covers an area of 5 square kilometers, with 2,117 mu of arable land and over 5,000 mu of forested land. It enjoys a mild climate, fertile soil, abundant water resources, and a beautiful environment. The village comprises 4 natural villages, 23 villager groups, 556 households, and 2,117 residents. In 2011, the collective annual income of the village was 12,000 yuan, with per capita income of 63,000 yuan. The village has 60 Party members, and there are still 32 households classified as impoverished.
