Hou Chen Site

The Hou Chen Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Chuzhou City.

The Hou Chen Site is located in Gutang Village, Yaopu Town, Nanqiao District, Chuzhou City. It dates back to the Western Zhou Dynasty, is categorized as an ancient site, and covers an area of 3,300 square meters. It is among the fourth batch of cultural heritage protection units in Chuzhou City, with the official announcement number Chuzheng [2012] No. 44.

Protected Area: 100 meters east, west, south, and north of the site.

Construction Control Zone: 100 meters east, west, south, and north beyond the protected area.

Gutang Village: Gutang Village is situated 8 kilometers south of downtown Chuzhou, located along the Qingliu River. The village covers a total area of 15.9 square kilometers, including 10,663 mu of arable land and 3,500 mu of water surface. The village consists of 36 villager groups with a total population of 5,830. The flood prevention embankment around Gutang Village stretches 14.6 kilometers.
