The Site of the Wuyi Pontoon Bridge is a cultural heritage conservation unit of Chuzhou City.

The Site of the Wuyi Pontoon Bridge is located on Wuyi Old Street in Wuyi Town, Nanqiao District, Chuzhou City. Dating back to the Qing Dynasty, it is classified as an ancient site, covering an area of 2,480 square meters. It is among the fifth batch of cultural heritage conservation units in Chuzhou City, with the announcement document number Chuzheng Mi [2017] No. 122.

Protected area: 30 meters to the north, west, and south of the ancient wharf, and 5 meters around the inscribed stele on the opposite bank.

Construction control zone: 10 meters beyond the protected area.

Wuyi Town: Situated in the southeast of Chuzhou City at the junction of Anhui and Jiangsu provinces, Wuyi Town is 11 kilometers north of downtown Chuzhou and 30 kilometers south of the ancient capital Nanjing. It is traversed by the Beijing-Shanghai Railway, Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway, Ma’an-Yangzhou Expressway, and the Chuzhou-Nanjing Expressway, giving it notable geographical advantages and convenient land and water transportation. It is known as the “southern gateway” of eastern Anhui. It now serves as the “bridgehead” of Chuzhou City’s eastward development strategy and an economic hub of Nanqiao District.
