Chuzhou Museum

Chuzhou Museum is located at the southwest corner of the Chuzhou Municipal Government Affairs Center. It covers an area of 32,786 square meters, with a building area of 19,605 square meters, an exhibition area of 4,600 square meters, and a storage area of 1,200 square meters. It is the largest comprehensive museum in eastern Anhui. The museum currently has a collection of more than 1,500 cultural relics and specimens, including 6 first-grade relics, 15 second-grade relics, and 243 third-grade relics. The permanent exhibitions include the "Rivers and Mountains of Glory – Chuzhou’s Natural Scenery" on the first floor and the "Poetic Langya, The Wind and Clouds of Jianghuai – Chuzhou’s Historical and Cultural Exhibition" on the second floor. The natural scenery exhibition primarily showcases the natural landscape of Chuzhou, divided into seven sections: karst landforms, ancient volcanoes, Danxia wonders, wetland paradises, grasslands and pastures, entering the forest, underground treasures, and paleontological relics. The historical and cultural exhibition is divided into five sections: Origins by the Huai River, Early Rise in the Region, Spirit Beyond Jianghuai, The First Prefecture under Heaven, and Recent Historical Turbulence.
