Yuanjiawan Old Street

Yuanjiawan Old Street is a cultural tourism attraction.

Yuanjiawan Old Street stretches 1,500 meters in length, starting from Jiyu Bridge, passing by Xianhe Tower, and ending at Honglan Bridge. The section between Jiyu Bridge and Xianhe Tower is also known as "Half-Side Riverside Street." Along the riverside, jade railings are built, giving the street a half-side appearance, which is both a charming quirk and a scenic highlight.

Although the buildings on the old street show the wear of time, shops and markets still thrive. As you walk along, the sounds of vendors’ calls, blacksmiths’ hammers, and cotton-fluffing bows never cease, as if time has turned back, bringing you into a Jiangnan town of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

The shops lining the street mostly sell traditional handicrafts made on-site, with no tourist-oriented gift shops or hotels in sight. Behind these storefronts lie once-glorious ancient structures such as Kuo Garden, Dongyuan, and Jinxiang Tower, which continue to exist undisturbed by fame or neglect, calmly intertwined with everyday life...

Ancient streets, dilapidated buildings, and traditional ways of life preserved to this day... Anyone who visits the old street will be struck by one feeling: authenticity. Perhaps this is the very charm that makes Yuanjiawan Old Street increasingly attractive to visitors.

Location: Within Quanjiao County

Transportation: Take Bus No. 3 from Quanjiao Railway Station to Qianjiahui Station, then walk 1 kilometer to reach the attraction; by car, exit from the Quanjiao interchange on the Hening Expressway, drive 2.5 kilometers toward the county town to arrive.
