Meihualong Ancient Tombs

The Meihualong Ancient Tombs are a cultural heritage protection unit of Anhui Province.

The Meihualong Ancient Tombs are located in Quanjiao County, Chuzhou City, dating back to the Han Dynasty, the Northern and Southern Dynasties, and the Song Dynasty.

The Meihualong Ancient Tombs are centered around the Guangping Horticultural Farm, extending southwest to the natural villages of Dawang, Han Zhuang, and Hu Yao in Xishi Administrative Village, Buji Township; west to the natural villages of Gaocun, Tiangu, Dahe, Xiaoqian, Dawang, and Shanwu in Emei Administrative Village; north to Pubei Administrative Village and Wal Li Natural Village in Guangping Township; and east to Chengjia City Bus Station. The tomb area stretches 3 kilometers from east to west and 2 kilometers from north to south. Within this range, ancient tombs are “scattered like stars on a chessboard,” forming a true “spectacle.”

In 2012, the Meihualong Ancient Tombs were designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People’s Government of Anhui Province.

Protected area: east to Chengjia City Administrative Village, southwest to Xishi Administrative Village in Buji, west to Emei Administrative Village, and north to Guangping Administrative Village, Pubei Administrative Village, and Wal Li Natural Village.
