Site of Baiyi

The Site of Baiyi is a cultural heritage protection unit of Quanjiao County.

The Site of Baiyi is located in Baiyi Village Group, 4 kilometers west of the former Nanping Township (now part of Xianghe Town). Dating back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties, it is classified as an ancient site, covering an area of 12,000 square meters. It is among the third batch of cultural heritage protection units in Quanjiao County, with official announcement document number Quan Zheng [2007] No. 32.

Protected area: 20 meters beyond the outer edge of the site in all directions.

Construction control zone: 60 meters beyond the protected area in all directions.

Xianghe Town: [Geographical Location] Xianghe Town is situated along the Xianghe River, covering a total area of 124.6 square kilometers. It borders Shizi Township to the north, Chenqian Township to the east, Wugang Town to the south, and Caowan Township to the west. The town government is 100 kilometers west of Hefei, 60 kilometers east of Nanjing, and 30 kilometers north of Chuzhou. The area enjoys convenient transportation — the Beijing-Shanghai Railway runs close to the east, the soon-to-be-opened Nanjing-Xi’an Railway traverses the entire region from the south, while the Chuzhou-Quanjiao Road provides direct access to the urban area from the north. National Highway 312 (Shanghai to Yining, Xinjiang) and Provincial Highway S206 encircle the town and include stations within its jurisdiction.
