Chuzhou Grand Theater
The Chuzhou Grand Theater is affiliated with Chuzhou Performing Arts Co., Ltd. and is located on the north side of Chuzhou People's Square, covering an area of approximately 10,000 m². The theater boasts complete internal facilities, comprehensive service functions, luxurious decor, and a grand design, capable of meeting the needs of various performances and conferences.
The Chuzhou Grand Theater was completed and put into use on December 28, 2008. The main auditorium has 1,126 seats, including 740 orchestra seats and 386 balcony seats. There is also a professional cinema hall and a multi-purpose hall. The stage measures 21 m × 28 m, with two side stages each measuring 15 m × 12 m. The stage is 22 m high, with a proscenium opening of 18 m × 9 m. The stage deck includes a central lifting area of 18 m × 7.2 m and an orchestra pit lifting area. There are 48 motorized battens, including 1 valance batten, 1 screen batten, 1 LED batten, 7 lighting battens, 30 scenery battens, 6 single-point hoists, and 1 white cyclorama. A 100-inch plasma screen is installed on each side of the proscenium. In addition to the main auditorium, there is a professional cinema hall and a multi-purpose hall. The cinema hall is primarily used for film screenings and has 194 seats. The multi-purpose hall can host conferences, parties, and digital movie screenings for up to 200 people. The theater’s lighting and sound equipment are from internationally and domestically renowned brands, suitable for a variety of artistic performances and conference needs.
The theater is equipped with automatic sprinkler fire suppression, indoor and outdoor security surveillance, and fire alarm and monitoring systems. It also features a world-renowned American “Trane” central air conditioning system, providing audiences with a safe and comfortable viewing environment.
