The Dabie Mountain Main Peak Scenic Area is located in Huoshan County, Lu’an City, Anhui Province, and is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The scenic area features a diverse range of attractions, including the main peak of the Dabie Mountains — Baimajian, the largest waterfall cluster in the region — Longjing Gorge, a high-altitude alpine lake — Bieshan Lake, and the ruins of an ancient fortress — Siwangzhai. Travel Tips

1. Baimajian is the highest peak of the Dabie Mountains. A trip to the Dabie Mountains without climbing Baimajian cannot be considered a true visit. Highly recommended for first-time visitors.

2. The various attractions within the Dabie Mountain Main Peak Scenic Area operate under a unified ticketing system with individual checkpoint entry. All individuals and organizations must present a valid ticket to enter. Tickets purchased at any attraction ticket office serve as the sole entry voucher and should be kept safely.

3. Visitors must pay attention to safety during their stay. Avoid horseplay or crowding when hiking, climbing slopes, crossing bridges, wading through water, taking photos, descending stairs, or walking on plank paths. Proceed step by step and encourage mutual courtesy and care. Do not climb rocks or jump between stones in streams recklessly, and avoid wearing flip-flops or extremely high heels in the scenic area.

4. As a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, all visitors must protect the area’s flora, fauna, birds, and wildlife according to regulations. Do not carve or graffiti on rocks, trees, or bamboo. Be mindful of forest fire prevention — smoking is prohibited in the scenic area.

5. Protect the water bodies in the scenic area. Avoid any activities that may contaminate the water quality. Do not poison turtles, blast fish, or overfish. Do not discard litter or throw rocks into springs, waterfalls, or turbulent waters.

6. A sanitation supervision system is in place in the scenic area. Do not litter; dispose of fruit peels and waste in designated trash bins. The scenic area also encourages visitors to bring their own garbage bags for recycling. Your cooperation in maintaining cleanliness is greatly appreciated.

7. The scenic area promotes civilized tourism. Rude or vulgar behavior is strongly discouraged. Please observe regulations, respect the elderly and children, and treat others politely to foster a pleasant social atmosphere where every visitor can enjoy a fulfilling experience.

8. Taking care of public property is essential. Any damage to facilities must be compensated for accordingly, and intentional destruction of tourist infrastructure will be subject to serious penalties.

9. Full trekking requires a certain level of physical fitness and determination. The round trip to the summit of Baimajian takes approximately four hours at a moderate pace. After the Longjing Pool Waterfall in Longjing Gorge, there are almost no flat paths, and visiting the two waterfalls involves a roughly four-hour round trip. Be prepared for the physical demands before your visit.

Transportation Information

The Dabie Mountain Main Peak Scenic Area lies in the heart of the Dabie Mountains, within Huoshan County, Anhui Province. It is over 90 kilometers from Huoshan County Town. The scenic area is only 14 kilometers from the Huangwei Exit of the Jiguang Expressway Liuan–Liuan section and is accessible via road (National Highway 105 – Provincial Road 318 – Provincial Road 209), as well as by train from Lu’an Railway Station. With beautiful surroundings and convenient transport links, it is easily reachable.

By Bus: 1. Hefei: From Hefei West Bus Transfer Center to Huoshan Bus Station. Departure times: 8:00–18:00, 35 RMB per person, 2-hour journey, buses every 30 minutes. 2. Nanjing: From Nanjing Hanzhongmen Bus Station to Huoshan Bus Station. Departure time: 13:15, 69 RMB per person, 5-hour journey.
