The main peak of the Dabie Mountains is called Baimajian, standing at 1,777 meters above sea level. The top three highest peaks in the Dabie Mountain area are all situated here, forming a north-facing, triangular formation. The main peak, Baimajian, and the second-highest peak, Duoyunjian (1,763 meters), are closely adjacent, while the third-highest peak to the south, Tianhejian (1,755 meters), stands in distant resonance. Moreover, the names of the major peaks within the Baimajian area are also quite distinctive—among the top ten highest peaks, ancient people named them all with the character “尖” (meaning “tip” or “peak”), symbolizing their potential for further growth.

Baimajian is the core attraction of the Dabie Mountain Main Peak Scenic Area, embodying grandeur, majesty, steepness, and uniqueness. The mountain is dotted with uniquely shaped rocks that are strikingly lifelike. Year-round, drifting clouds create a vast, undulating sea-like mist. The terrain is rugged with steep cliffs and deep valleys, while clear streams rush through, producing a harmonious symphony.

Baimajian is covered with pristine forests and scattered with rare pines, harboring abundant plant and animal resources.

The design philosophy of the supporting facilities at the Baimajian scenic spot emphasizes harmony with nature, ranking among the best in scenic area designs both in China and internationally.
