The Site of Siwang Fort

The Site of Siwang Fort is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

The Site of Siwang Fort is located at the summit of Siwang Mountain, which stands at an altitude of 1,396 meters, and was built in the 11th year of the Xianfeng reign during the Qing Dynasty (1861). The fort’s walls were constructed from stone blocks, stretching 2,000 meters in length, 6 meters in height, and 1.5 meters in width. The outer side of the wall is steep and rugged, while the interior is relatively flat. At intervals along the wall, there are small stone chambers resembling watchtowers. There are two gates, one in the south and one in the north, both featuring arched tops and consisting of two levels. The lintel of the southern gate is inlaid with a stone carving that reads “Graceful Crown of the Southern Mountains.” Siwang Fort is precipitous and elegant, surrounded by green maples and bamboos, offering a beautiful environment.

Our town is the birthplace of China’s famous tea, “Huoshan Yellow Sprout,” and also serves as a major mountainous resource hub in the southwestern part of Huoshan County.

The unique geographical location of Dahuaping Town has endowed it with abundant natural resources. In addition to Baimajian, the main peak of the Dabie Mountains, the area also features prominent peaks such as Duoyunjian, Zhutoujian, Siwangshan, Gualongjian, Bijiajian, and Yinshi Fort.
