The Tomb of Su Dongpo’s Memorial Garments is a county-level key cultural relics protection unit in Huoshan County.

Protected area: 2 meters outward from the edges of the tomb in the east, south, west, and north directions.

Construction control zone: 5 meters east, 1 meter south, 2 meters west, and 5 meters north beyond the protected area.

Su Shi (1037–1101), courtesy name Zizhan, literary name Dongpo Jushi, was a native of Meishan in Meizhou (now part of Sichuan). His family had a strong literary tradition: his grandfather Su Xu loved reading and was good at poetry; his father Su Xun was a renowned classical prose writer who provided meticulous guidance to both Su Shi and his younger brother Su Zhe. Their mother, Lady Cheng, was knowledgeable and principled, and once told the young Su Shi the story of Fan Pang from the *Book of the Later Han • Biography of Fan Pang*, using the deeds of ancient worthies to inspire her son to uphold integrity. By the time Su Shi was 21 and left Sichuan for the capital, his scholarship and cultivation were already quite advanced.
