Enlong World Wooden Village is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Located in Ningguo City in the southeastern part of Anhui Province, Enlong World Wooden Village in Ningguo, Anhui, is about 8 kilometers from the city center. Adjacent to the Yangtze River Delta tourism circle and Anhui’s “Two Mountains and One Lake” tourism area, it covers an area of 150 hectares. Established in 1997 on the foundation of an ecological science and technology demonstration park, it officially opened to the public in November 2001. It is an ecological tourism resort integrating sightseeing, leisure vacation, and business negotiations. The resort features main attractions such as the gateway landscape, a thousand-mu ginkgo garden, specialty orchards, a water park, a wooden villa complex, and the Enlong Folk Custom Garden, along with a four-star tourist hotel. The total investment was 120 million yuan, with a daily reception capacity of 5,000 people.

The resort sets a high standard and boasts distinctive features. Nestled against mountains and beside water, it is tranquil and serene, with a high concentration of negative oxygen ions. Since its opening, it has welcomed over 2 million domestic and international tourists with its beautiful garden scenery, vibrant folk culture, fresh green ecology, and warm, attentive service. By the end of 2005, it was ranked as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, and in May 2008, it was approved as a four-star tourist hotel.

From the moment of birth, humans have shared an inseparable bond with the earth. Everything humans eat, wear, live in, and travel with comes from the earth. The human reverence for the earth is akin to that for a mother. As the ancients said, "Qian is heaven, the father; Kun is earth, the mother." The "Mother Earth" statue in the gateway landscape fully embodies this theme, with surrounding group sculptures of plowing, harvesting, and joy enhancing this message.

Upon entering the gateway, the walls along the pathways throughout the resort are all built from cobblestones, stretching a total length of 4 kilometers. These cobblestones, naturally smoothed over hundreds of millions of years, are uniform in size, varied in shape, incredibly hard, and exude a primitive simplicity. Strolling along the resort paths offers a delightful experience of winding through tranquility and refreshing the spirit.

The thousand-mu ginkgo garden is vast and spectacular, offering different feelings in different seasons. In spring, the rolling hills are covered in lush green, brimming with vitality and inspiring awe for nature’s beauty and the wonder of life. In golden autumn, the foliage turns bright yellow, and ginkgo fruits hang abundantly from the branches, creating a festive atmosphere of harvest.

The specialty orchard spans several hundred acres, lush and green, offering a bountiful yield in spring and autumn. During harvest season, peaches, pears, and bayberries are laden with fruit, filling the air with their sweet fragrance. Visitors can enjoy a variety of fresh, crisp, and uniquely flavored fruits along the way, providing a delightful taste of rural life.

The Enlong Folk Custom Garden is an important part of the World Wooden Village. The garden is shaded by green trees, fragrant with fresh fruits, and set in a beautiful environment. It features ethnic villages of the Mongolian, Miao, Wa, Dai, She, and Mosuo peoples, as well as areas for foreign cultural performances, showcasing the customs, folk songs and dances, costumes, architectural styles, and rich foreign influences of different ethnic groups. Visitors can enjoy distinctive performances such as Mongolian wrestling, Miao embroidered ball dances, lusheng dances, Dai water-splashing, Wa bull-fighting, and Mosuo folk songs. There are also interactive activities for visitors to join in, including Miao marriage-snatching, bamboo pole dances, Mongolian archery, high-altitude zip-lining, grass sliding, water walking balls, and goldfish fishing. The most distinctive attractions in the garden include internationally renowned Thai ladyboy shows, motorbike wall riding, northeastern bears, and marine animal performances, as well as thrilling acts like Miao blade climbing and fire walking, and Sichuan face-changing and fire-spitting. These exciting performances keep visitors enthralled and reluctant to leave.

The wooden villa complex consists of 70 classic and elegant wooden villas, forming a beautiful highlight of the World Wooden Village. Nestled among lush pines and bamboos, these small wooden houses are made from high-quality pine from the mountainous regions of southern Anhui, featuring distinct grain patterns and a natural, rustic charm. The interiors are high-end, offering standard rooms, triple rooms, quadruple rooms, and business suites, with a total capacity to accommodate 200 guests. Staying in these wooden villas not only provides quality and warm service but also allows guests to breathe in fresh air with a very high concentration of negative oxygen ions—earning it the title of a “natural oxygen bar,” which refreshes the body and mind and promotes longevity.

The water park holds 1.8 million cubic meters of water, where visitors can drive various types of pleasure boats and ride the waves, or enjoy fishing by the shore for leisure. The wooden village is filled with pleasant scenery. Towering pines look emerald green, while azaleas blaze red like fire. Nature’s magical hand paints picturesque landscapes. The serene and deep Sunset Valley, the majestic and mystical White Pagoda, and the relaxing water fishing spots blend the natural and man-made elements in perfect harmony. The resort’s botanical garden also houses many rare ornamental plants, exquisitely crafted and artistically stunning, evoking a strong sense of beauty. For example, the rare Sparrow Plum in Huizhou-style potted plants, which won awards at gardening expos, is remarkably lifelike. The night view here is also a major attraction. Wooden villas and pavilions are situated halfway up the mountainside, adorned with bright red lanterns and colorful neon lights that create a dazzling, warm, romantic, and peaceful ambiance. Under the night sky, Enlong World Wooden Village resembles a fairyland on earth—charming and captivating, stirring the hearts of all who visit.
