The Xiaren Jiutian Silver Waterfall is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Xiaren Scenic Area (Jiutian Silver Waterfall), located among the eastern mountain ranges of Ningguo, Anhui Province, covers an area of 43 square kilometers. It lies along Provincial Highway 104, 220 kilometers from Huangshan, 110 kilometers from West Lake, a 290-kilometer drive from Shanghai, and a 220-kilometer drive from Nanjing. It sits at the junction of the Huangshan Mountain Range and the Tianmu Mountain Range.

The Xiaren Scenic Area offers views of the spectacular landscapes of Huangshan to the west and the beautiful scenery of West Lake to the south. Within its boundaries are countless peculiar peaks and secluded caves, isolated cliffs and sheer rock faces; rugged valleys and gorges, as well as dense waterfalls and springs; wild vines and ancient trees towering above, and bamboo forests and pine waves echoing in harmony. Known for its unique features—waterfalls, divine pools, deep ravines, strange rocks, and perilous gorges—it is hailed as the “Five Wonders of the World’s Scenery.” It is also celebrated as the “Number One Waterfall Cluster in Southeast China” for its numerous large and small waterfalls, each with its own distinctive charm.

Sometimes, nature concentrates its favor on one place, and thus the Xiaren Scenic Area stands out as especially enchanting, serene, or breathtakingly beautiful. This land of outstanding natural beauty, shaped by the hands of time, does not bear the marks of age and wear but instead reveals endless splendor. Faint temple bells echo, solemn halls stand in reverence, stone gates face each other, bamboo forests rustle in the wind, wild vines thrive, and vibrant colors abound. Countless large and small waterfalls are scattered throughout, with Longtoukan shining brilliantly—like a paradise on earth. The renowned writer Lu Yanzhou once inscribed on the spot during his visit to Xiaren: “The gorges are deep and serene, the forests lush and picturesque.”
