Dongshan Ferry Bridge is located in Xianxia Town, Ningguo City, Xuancheng, dating back to the Ming Dynasty to the Republican Era.

In 2019, Dongshan Ferry Bridge was designated as part of the eighth batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Anhui Province.

Xianxia Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Ningguo City. Established as Xianxia Township in 1952, it became a commune in 1961, reverted to township status in 1983, and was upgraded to a town in 1994. Located in the southeastern part of the city, it is 38 kilometers from downtown and borders Zhejiang Province to the east. Covering an area of 69.8 square kilometers with a population of 13,000, National Highway 104 runs through the town. It administers nine village committees: Taiyang, Kongfu, Shenwu, Dong’an, Xianxia, Yanshan, Ruilin, Zhating, and Longting.
