Zhilanwu Ancient Kiln Site

The Zhilanwu Ancient Kiln Site is a cultural heritage protection unit under Xuancheng City.

The Zhilanwu Ancient Kiln Site is located in Fangtang Township, Ningguo City, dating back to the Tang and Song dynasties, and is classified as an ancient site.

In 2016, the Zhilanwu Ancient Kiln Site was designated by the Xuancheng Municipal People's Government as part of the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units.

Fangtang Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Ningguo City. Established as Gecun Township in 1952, it became Fangtang Commune in 1961 and was reorganized as a township in 1983. It is located in the western part of the city, 29 kilometers from the urban area. Covering an area of 147.8 square kilometers with a population of 4,000, it has roads connecting to the Ci (Hu) – Zhang (Wangmiao) Highway. The township administers 10 village committees: Fukeng, Shangtan, Zhongtan, Licun, Shiling, Fangtang, Gecun, Wangcun, Macun, and Pancha. The main agricultural product is rice, while forestry products include Chinese fir, bamboo, tea, and shiitake mushrooms. The area is rich in quartzite and limestone deposits.
