Wenhe Garden

Wenhe Garden is located in Shuangxi Village, Longmian Township, and is the mausoleum of Zhang Tingyu, Grand Secretary of the Baohe Hall during the Qing Dynasty. In 1755, Zhang Tingyu passed away peacefully and was buried here. Starting in 1995, relevant departments from Anhui Province and Tongcheng City allocated funds to carry out a comprehensive restoration of the site. The entire garden is divided into two sections: the tomb area and the hall of offerings. The tomb area is solemn and majestic, with an imposing atmosphere. Stone lions, stone tigers, stone sheep, and stone horses stand in orderly rows; civil and military statues and stone turtles are arranged opposite each other; stone incense burners, stone offering tables, and stone candlesticks are displayed in front of the tomb. Lush pines, cypresses, and ginkgo trees provide shaded greenery. The hall of offerings houses a seated embroidered portrait of Zhang Tingyu, an incense burner, and an offering table, with couplets handwritten by Zhang Ying and Zhang Tingyu hanging on both sides. In 1998, the People's Government of Anhui Province designated the Qing Dynasty stone carving group at Zhang Tingyu’s tomb site as a provincial-level key cultural relic protection unit.
