Tongling Museum

Tongling Museum is a National AAAA-level tourist attraction, a cultural tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

Tongling Museum is located at No. 477 Xueyuan Road in the main urban area, adjacent to the First Middle School of Tongling. It covers an area of 6 mu with a construction area of 3,100 square meters. In May 2007, it was designated as a patriotic education base by the provincial Party committee and government. In June of the same year, it was rated as a National AAAA-level tourist attraction by the tourism authorities. The museum enjoys an elegant environment, convenient transportation, and a rich cultural atmosphere.

The museum is a local thematic museum dedicated to bronze culture, comprehensively showcasing the distinctive bronze culture of Tongling. It is divided into six sections: "Feilian Smelting Gold," "Dawn of the Bronze Land," "Echoes of Mining and Metallurgy," "Treasures of the Bronze Age," "Struggles Between Wu and Chu," and "Contemporary Bronze Crafts."

The exhibition adopts modern high-tech display methods, simulating mining, smelting, and casting scenes, with detailed historical data and lifelike figures. The cultural relics section features over 260 pieces of locally distinctive bronze ware and more than 80 pieces of contemporary bronze crafts, supplemented by a wealth of exquisite pictorial materials, offering rich cultural content. The overall concept of the exhibition is centered around bronze culture as the creative theme, using artistic, novel, and advanced display techniques to recreate the over 3,000-year history and legacy of Tongling, the ancient Bronze Capital, in mining, smelting, and casting.
