The Tongling Science and Technology Museum is a National AA-level tourist attraction, a cultural tourism site, and a science education base.

The Tongling Science and Technology Museum is a public welfare facility invested in by the government. It serves as an important base for science education aimed at implementing the strategy of revitalizing the city through science and education and improving the scientific and cultural literacy of the public. It is a National AA-level tourist attraction, a provincial-level science education base, a municipal-level patriotic education base, and a municipal Youth Civilization Unit.

The exhibition and educational area of the Tongling Science and Technology Museum covers 2,495.76 square meters. The first phase of the project was completed and opened to the public on December 20, 2004. It currently houses a total of 70 exhibits, with main displays including: The first floor of the main building features the Vision, Intelligence, and Mechanics Exhibition Hall, showcasing exhibits such as the "Magnetic Levitation Globe," "Simulated Driving," and "Happy Dock." The first floor of the annex building hosts the Mechanics and Acousto-Optics Exhibition Hall, featuring exhibits like "Pull Yourself Up," "Soar into the Air," and "Drum Without Skin." The second floor of the annex building is the Magnetism, Electricity, and Mathematics Exhibition Hall, featuring exhibits such as the "Magnetic Levitation Train," "Chaotic Water Wheel," and "Rolling into a Straight Line."

Through fascinating phenomena generated by sound, light, magnetism, and electricity, the museum’s exhibits vividly demonstrate the mysteries of science, explain and reveal the importance of scientific principles, and inspire visitors to the greatest extent—encouraging them to broaden their thinking and enhance creativity. By directly interacting with the exhibits, visitors can experience the significant impact of modern science and technology on national economic development and social progress, while also enjoying the fun brought by science and technology firsthand.

The Tongling Science and Technology Museum has always adhered to its mission of serving the public and promoting science education. It actively carries out various forms of science education activities for the general public, especially young people, establishing a positive social image. It plays an active role in promoting the city’s three-pronged civilization development and building an ecological and picturesque Copper City.
