The Tongling New Fourth Army Anti-Japanese War Historical Exhibition Hall is a patriotic education base.

The Tongling New Fourth Army Anti-Japanese War Historical Exhibition Hall was completed and opened in September 2009. It is located at the village committee of Chao Mountain Village in Xihu Town, adjacent to the martyrs' cemetery of the 28 soldiers from the Tongling Brigade of the New Fourth Army who sacrificed their lives in the anti-Japanese battle at Fanjiawan on July 17, 1943. The exhibition hall consists of a main exhibition area and a front square, with an exhibition space covering 220 square meters. The exhibition is divided into three thematic sections: the New Fourth Army’s advance into Tongling to resist Japan, the strong fortress of resistance in southern Anhui, and the victory of the war and the liberation of Tongling. The hall features a sand table displaying the terrain of Tongling during the Anti-Japanese War, as well as over a hundred exhibits including charts, photographs, propaganda posters, and nearly 50 relics (some replicas) such as New Fourth Army armbands, uniforms, bullets, propaganda booklets for cadres and soldiers, and the newspaper "Da Jiang Bao." Later additions include new exhibition content such as “A Long Flow of Integrity — Stories of Clean Governance in Tongling’s Resistance History” and “20 Figures Who Made Outstanding Contributions to the Liberation of Tongling,” collectively showcasing the glorious history of the New Fourth Army and the People's Liberation Army in their courageous struggles in Tongling during the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War. The exhibition hall is now open to the public free of charge.

The total area of the village is 3.19 square kilometers. It is famous for its abundant gold production and is known as the “No. 1 Gold Village in Anhui.”
