Goji Beach

The beach is backed by a fishing village and faces the fishing harbor, making it the best place to experience the local fishing culture. During the fishing moratorium, fishermen can often be seen mending their nets on the beach. The green nets set against the yellow sand and blue sky also provide great photo opportunities.

To get to Goji Beach, take a detour from the concrete road and follow the mountain path. Along the way, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Goji Fishing Harbor from a high vantage point, especially around 14:00, when the fishing boats backlit by the sun create excellent photography opportunities.

Transportation

(1) Take a ferry from Xiaocaiyuan Wharf. There are only two daily ferries: the slow boat at 7:30 AM takes about 2 hours, and the speedboat at 11:50 AM takes about 1 hour. Tickets can be purchased on the same day at Xiaocaiyuan Wharf or one day in advance at Shengsi Bus Station.

(2) There are many minibuses on Gouqi Island, and you can rent one to get there. The fare is calculated by distance, usually around 20–30 yuan. Taxis are also available but do not use meters; prices should be agreed upon in advance.
