The Stone Dragon Wonder

Commonly known as the Little Yang Stone Dragon, the "Stone Dragon Wonder" is located in Dayangyu Mountain in the northeast of Little Yangshan. It stretches about 100 meters in length and is around 10 meters in girth. There are two dragons, one on top of the other, with their heads to the west and tails to the east, meandering up the ridge. Their bellies are white, appearing intermittently suspended in the air, while their backs are black with mottled dragon scales that glimmer like silver coins. Along their jaws, stone patterns surge like waves, with dragon whiskers fluttering, and at the front there are several spherical stones, hence it is also called the "Twin Dragons Fighting for the Pearl." Above their heads is a small pool that collects rainwater, never drying up throughout the year, with water as clear as a mirror—known as the Dragon Eye Well. To the south lies a sheer cliff hundreds of feet high, and to the north, across a small path, is a deep ravine, beyond which rises a continuous stone wall on the far side of the ravine, thousands of feet tall, cascading down in a breathtaking rush. The ancient dragons in the secluded valley stir the heart and chill the soul. The stone dragons coil down the hillside, seemingly gliding through the mist, their lively energy jumping off the canvas.

Within the thousand-meter mountain path of Dayangyu Mountain in Little Yang Island, steep cliffs stand guard on either side, with strange rocks dotting the way—a new sight at every ten steps, a wonder at every five, too many to take in all at once. Among them, the Stone Dragon and the Stone Turtle are the most striking. The Stone Turtle can be seen right at the start of the trail. Weighing several tons, it clings to the cliff top, leaning upward, and is also known as the Stone Rooster Gazing at the Sky.
